Coffee, the ultimate ingredient for the skin

It’s no secret that we value coffee as the ultimate ingredient for the skin. We offer coffee products in two forms: oil, and a body scrub.

Several studies have shown that coffee when applied directly on the skin, has lipolytic properties: in simpler terms, it can help reduce the appearance of cellulite. In addition, coffee grounds and oil contain caffeine, which boosts circulation and can lead to tighter, smoother skin by reducing inflammation.

While coffee is known for its energizing properties, it has the potential to create the opposite effect when applied topically, due to its high levels of antioxidants which can calm irritation.

SKIN BENEFITS

  • Combat skin aging: Thanks to their antioxidants and anti-inflammatory action, caffeine and chlorogenic acids effectively protect the skin from UV-induced damage.

  • UV protection: Coffee has UVB protection properties. It has been proven that coffee oil filters light selectively within the wavelengths of 280-320nm, allowing the skin to brown whilst protecting it from solar erythema.

  • Wound-healing: Coffee is abundant in linoleic acid. Linoleic acid has a direct role in maintaining the integrity of the water permeability barrier of the skin.

  • Cellulite reduction: cafestol and kahweol, diterpene esters in coffee, have a great potential for cellulite reduction.

  • Skin firming

  • Fight skin problems
